The Pope’s Steak

Weddings can be challenging at the best of times, but at least at the one I attended last weekend I managed to steal an easy steak marinade from one of my table allies so much thanks to Scott and Siobhan for this one.

Ingredients

500g lean scotch fillet or New York cut steak
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Hoisin sauce
1 cup red wine

Method
  1. Combine wet ingredients and marinade steak fillets for 24 hours – yes, a whole day.
  2. Sear each side of steak for 1 minute on high then reduce heat to medium and cooked for another 1-2 minutes until first sign of moisture appears from fillet.
  3. Serve with jacket potato, green beans and broccoli for a delicious meal.
